Tasting Seminar: Orange Wine

Orange or amber wines are skin fermented whites that have gained rapid popularity recently, appearing on the best wine lists from Copenhagen to San Francisco. And rightfully so; an ancient method of winemaking, skin fermentation not only enhances aroma and texture but also adds a whole other dimension making this category completely distinct. In this two hour seminar, Pamela Busch will lead the tasting of six orange wines from around the world.

Tasting Seminar: Artisanal Ciders

The apple can be expressed into fine cider that pairs beautifully with food. Often these ciders come from producers who are orchard-based, obsessed with particular cultivars of apple, and focused on terroir-driven styles of cider making, like native yeast fermentations and barrel aging. This two hour course will provide the background for and tastings of six such ciders from the West Coast and New England.

Tasting Seminar: Wines of New York

With nearly 3000 miles separating the coasts, New York wines might as well be from another country. In many respects they are as different from California wines as those from Europe.
