Community Dinner with Nourishing Pregnancy (First Seating)
A dinner with beer and wine available for sale. This is not a cooking class. This seating is limited to 40 guests. Review our registration and cancellation policies here.
In this edition of Community Dinner, we want to give you warmth and love from one of 18 Reasons’ programs, Nourishing Pregnancy! Launched in 2021, Nourishing Pregnancy is an innovative cooking and health program serving Black and Latine birthing parents during the last weeks of pregnancy and first weeks postpartum. This unique program offers prenatal cooking and nutrition education classes, postpartum support classes, and builds relationships and support networks that will last beyond pregnancy. All participants receive free groceries for during the program, which can significantly offset food insecurity during those vulnerable months.
This Community Dinner will give you a taste of the “love bubble” we create for our birthers in Nourishing Pregnancy. Not only do we want to feed you a delicious, comforting meal, we also aim to inspire you to care of your community. You’ll leave this dinner with ideas to care for people experiencing major life changes and to create a “love bubble” of support.
This ticket page is for the first seating from 6-7 pm. We do not have reserved seating and dining will take place at communal tables. For our second seating at 7:30 pm, please click here.
