Join us for an evening of discussion and dinner with Hamze Awawde, a renowned Palestinian peace activist and conflict resolution expert. Awawde seeks to empower a broad audience to reject the narrative of endless conflict and instead work towards a peaceful, equitable resolution. Awawde believes that solidarity movements from both Israel and Palestine can be powerful forces for change, with the potential to shift international policy and create on-the-ground conditions conducive to peace. Awawde's work emphasizes the power of grassroots coalitions to challenge cycles of violence and create conditions conducive to lasting peace. By engaging with both Israeli and Palestinian solidarity movements, he prioritizes human dignity, justice, and coexistence.
Dinner will be provided by Sam Mogannam of the Bi-Rite Family of Businesses, Tal Mor of Loquat Bakery, and Gracie Schatz, our 18 Reasons Head Chef. Expect family-style, vegetarian mezze platters with dips, fresh vegetables, warm flatbreads and more.
