A hands-on cooking class culminating in a family-style dinner served with wine.

Georgian food is incredibly diverse, colorful, and vibrant and Georgian hospitality is world known for almost overwhelming you with kindness and generosity. This new class for 18 Reasons is inspired by an authentic Georgian feast called a Supra, where hospitality and foods meet. In this class, you will bring a traditional supra meal to San Francisco, under the guidance of Anna Voloshyna. During this class, you will learn how to make festive Supra dishes along with the impressive Adjarian Khachapuri to celebrate the rich and vivid culinary traditions of Caucasus.

MENU

Badrijani Nigvzit — Walnut stuffed Eggplant Roll, this is a favorite appetizer in the Caucasus. Served with cilantro leaves and tangy pomegranate molasses.

Satsivi — Traditional Supra dish, it is poached chicken with spiced walnut sauce

Adjapsandali — Vegetarian stew made with eggplant, bell pepper, tomatoes and potatoes. Served with aromatic herbs and spices.

Adjarian Khachapuri — The star of our cooking class. Georgian cheese-filled bread in which the dough is formed into an open boat shape and topped with an egg and a pat of butter right before serving.

Anna Voloshyna was born and raised in Ukraine and after moving to the United States she followed her passion for cooking and started hosting East European pop-up dinners with a focus on Ukrainian and Georgian cuisines. She is passionate about telling culinary stories of different cultures and connecting people through the common joy of having a meal together. New tastes, unexpected culinary discoveries, and deliciousness of living in the moment – that’s what Anna wants the guests to experience at her cooking classes.
