A two-hour tasting seminar, served with light snacks to cleanse the palate. We highly recommend eating a heavy snack or meal before arriving.

Come join the Redfield Cider Bar & Bottle Shop team for an exploration of terroir in American ciders. We will taste through expressive, orchard-based ciders from every corner of the United States, and will discuss the roles that variety choice of fruit, climate, soil conditions, and production techniques play in shaping flavor of the finished bottle. This class aims to introduce drinkers to the tastes and regions of American ciders. Sip, savor, and learn how to distinguish orchard-based ciders from more modern ciders and where to buy and enjoy these ciders at home.

Leading this seminar are cider aficionados Mike Reis and Olivia Maki, co-owners of Redfield Cider Bar & Bottle Shop (opening this fall in Oakland) and co-chairs of the cider category at the Good Food Awards.
