The Japanese have a saying that sake never fights with food. To this assertion, John Lee and Todd Eng will show you how to pair a variety of sakes with one of our favorite bivalves: the delicious oyster. Never mind that most oyster joints present a lengthy white wine list to their customers; we will demystify any thought that sake can't stand its ground against wine, and that perhaps sake is a more ideal partner for your next oyster outing. John and Todd are also happy to answer any general sake questions you may have.

In this class, you'll taste a variety of sakes, including San Francisco-brewed Sequoia Sake, and half a dozen raw oysters from Water 2 Table

Thanks to Sequoia Sake, Sake Brothers, and Water 2 Table for their participation in this event.
