A 3-course family-style dinner with discussion; wine and beer will be served.

The Farmers Guild is a network of ten coalitions across California primarily comprised of new and young farmers. Their new project, Follow the Rooster, is an online initiative seeking to celebrate the many local food heroes who support the growth of a new generation of sustainable family farmers.

We are very excited to host The Farmers Guild for a Dinner Discussion focused on the rise of young farmers and the local food advocates helping them thrive through unique and creative actions. Joining them will be Gowan Batist, founder of Fortunate Farm, a newly established farm on the Mendocino Coast. A three course dinner with wine - prepared by our chef, Michelle McKenzie - will be served, featuring Gowan's special product.

MENU

radishes, seaweed butter, Tartine bread

striped heirloom tomatoes, raspberry vinegar, local olive oil

roast pork loin and potatoes, salsa verde
caramelized carrots, farmer's cheese, greens, toasted seeds

Bi-rite Creamery's strawberry balsamic ice cream

Her 40-acre coastal farm focuses on heirloom vegetables, invasive species management, carbon sequestration and large-scale composting.
