Empanada Party!

Before you face down the big feast later this month, spend an evening crafting unforgettable empanadas with Chef Annelies! These flakey delicacies are the perfect appetizer or two-bite dessert for all your upcoming holiday parties. We will make three kinds of empanadas featuring three different doughs- first, we will make Corn Empanadas with a filling of jammy tomatoes and nopalitos (paddle cactus, a classic Mexican ingredient), then we will make Empanadas Gallegas filled with tuna and briny ingredients that recall the sea. Finally, we will make a sweet empanada filled with apples and drizzled with a decadent goats milk caramel! You will practice shaping, crimping, and sealing empanadas, and sit down to an epic empanada feast alongside some gorgeously roasted vegetables.
