Tamalada: Tamale Making Party!

It’s the merriest time of the year—tamalada time! Ah, tamaladas, they are the space where many hands make light work of shaping Mexican-style tamales. Share in the tradition of making tamales close to Christmas and the winter holidays. This is our third year of Chef Annelies hosting a tamalada at 18 Reasons. You will learn how to make a flavorful masa for tamales and then make two kinds of fillings: classic Rajas y Queso with poblano chile strips and melty cheese, and a chicken goat cheese tamal. Plus, salsas to spoon over the top. You’ll leave the class with an idea of how to use leftover masa if you don't feel like making tamales, plus a few tamales to take home after sharing a meal with new friends.  Every year, this class sells out, so save your place today.
