Community Dinner: Senegalese Thiou Boulette (First Seating)
We are pleased to host a new chef in our kitchen! We met Modou through the Refugee Food Festival, where he cooked a pop-up dinner at Jardiniere.
Eager to work, Modou has had the opportunity to work in three restaurants since he came to the US, around a year ago. While men in Senegal do not normally cook in the households, Modou always had an interest in cooking. He loves cooking Senegalese food in particular, but knows East African food, too. He has experience cooking for large groups, and it is his dream to have his own catering food company and share his food with more people.
MENU
Thiou Boulette: Spicy meatballs in a sauce with tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, and habanero peppers
Steamed Rice
