Free glass of beer or wine if you bring books for swapping! 

Perusing someone's collection of cookbooks is a way to understand the owner as a cook: who they admire, what flavors inspire them, their dream meals, or even souvenirs from an unforgettable vacation. Over time, some cookbooks no longer resound with the owner, whose tastes and inspirations have understandably changed and shifted. Let's give up cookbooks that no longer give us joy (yes, we are asking you to Kondo your bookshelf) and bring them to the 18 Reasons' Cookbook Swap Social, where someone new may fall in love with your old book and give it a new home. Our community is bursting with cookbook lovers, and we invite you to hang out with one another, share thoughts about cookbooks on your wish list, and make room for new inspirations on your shelf. 

We will sell wine and beer by the glass (ID required), and will have complimentary bites of food by Chef Mike Weller, inspired by a few cookbooks on our shelves! Our own shelves are bursting, so a few of our books will be part of the swap.

We recommend you arrive on early to contribute your books to the swap! We will give folks time to peruse each others cookbooks, swapping begins at 7:30 pm. 

If you can't make the event, but want to donate books for swapping, 18 Reasons can accept books starting April 2, based on our ability to store books in our small pantry! Contact us to coordinate drop off times on weeknights from 4-10 pm.
