As a food photographer deeply rooted in the Bay Area food culture, Molly DeCoudreaux is drawn to documenting women who thrive in the food industry. She has photographed 9 businesses, 10 women in all, for her show at 18 Reasons, and this Dinner Discussion is an exploration and celebration of four of them; they are Molly's friends, her peers, and members of a badass community of entrepreneurs whose hard work is rewarded with successful and thriving careers in the food world.

We see the women of the food movement as some of the most innovative and resourceful of community builders. Through pop-up events that lead to brick and mortars, community and cooperative kitchens, innovation, hustle, and elbow grease, these women have grown successful businesses.
