In this two hour event, enjoy snacking on springtime dishes from Heather Hardison's new gardening and cooking book, Homegrown, while learning to draw and expressing your creative side!

Homegrown: Illustrated Bites from your Garden to your Table is a fully illustrated guide to growing and cooking seasonal produce. In the spirit of the book we will be sitting down at a table full of gorgeous, local fruits and vegetables and playing with paints, pens, and paper to capture their beauty.

Art supplies, food, and wine and will be provided. No artistic experience necessary - Heather is here to guide you! Book sales provided by Omnivore Books.

Heather Hardison is an North Carolina born illustrator and sign painter living and working in Oakland, California. Her work explores the intersection of art and design, weaving typographic and informational elements, with hand drawn imagery. Her book Homegrown: Illustrated Bites from your Garden to your Table (Stewart, Tabori, and Chang 2015.) is the marriage of her skills as an illustrator and sign painter and her passion for gardening and cooking.
