Ren, Laurie Ellen and Gracie met in their early 20s in San Francisco while they were all getting their start in the food industry. Ren and Gracie worked alongside each other at the Fatted Calf Charcuterie where they were being trained as butchers, while Laurie Ellen worked her way up to head pastry chef at Tartine Bakery (on 18th Street!). When they weren't busy with work, they went dancing, cooked each other lavish meals, drank delicious wine and enjoyed all of the wonders of San Francisco. 

A decade later, they are still dear friends and have each found success in their food journeys - Laurie Ellen runs an award-winning baking company in Brooklyn, Ren works for the single origin spice company, Burlap & Barrel and is simultaneously helping open a bar and restaurant in Joshua Tree and Gracie is working right here as the head chef of 18 Reasons! 

Join these three friends as they prepare some of their favorite foods for you. It’s been too long since they’ve been able to share a kitchen and they are beyond excited to cook together. Ren and Gracie will be grinding and linking up fresh sausage, Laurie Ellen will be making pillowy brioche buns to nestle the sausage in! Laurie Ellen will showcase some of her Good Foods Award-winning shortbread cookies for dessert to be served along with some delicious Bi-Rite ice cream. We’re calling it “Friends and Franks'' and frankly, we can’t wait. 

This ticket page is for the first seating from 6-7 pm. We do not have reserved seating and dining will take place at communal tables. For our second seating at 7:30 pm, please click here.
