Gong Hei Fat Choy! To ring in the new lunar year, we're taking inspiration from Linda's childhood in Malaysia. The Chinese diaspora in Malaysia is mostly of Southern Chinese descent—Fujianese, Cantonese, Hakka, Teochew. Linda fondly recalls a few dishes she often ate at her friends' "open house," a custom where you drop by someone's house during the festive period and they will always feed you. Without needing to leave our 18th St. Kitchen, we'll cook up our own new year celebration spread!
