Community Dinner: Ukrainian Borshch and Pampushki (First Seating)
A one-plate dinner with beer and wine available for sale. This is not a cooking class. This seating is limited to 35 guests. Review our registration and cancellation policies here. Proof of full vaccination is required at the door. Masks are recommended.
We're excited to renew our monthly tradition, Community Dinner, featuring Anna Voloshyna. When we first met Anna a few years ago, she wowed our audience with two sold out Community Dinner meals, featuring her Ukrainian recipes. For this particular dinner, we are happy to celebrate Anna's first cookbook, Budmo! Recipes from a Ukrainian Kitchen. We'll have books available onsite for sale.
This ticket page is for the first seating from 6-7 pm. We do not have reserved seating and dining will take place at communal tables. We are limiting the capacity of this seating to 35 guests. Vegetarian Borshch—One of the most beloved and traditional Ukrainian dishes. Made with a ton of fall veggies and served with a sprinkle of herbs and a dollop of sour cream.
Pampushki—Soft and pillowy Ukrainian dinner rolls topped with garlic paste and dill.
This menu contains the following common allergens: Dairy, Wheat. Because we are cooking in large batches, we are very limited in accommodating allergens and dietary restrictions.
Anna Voloshyna was born and raised in Ukraine and lived there for twenty years before moving to the United States. After coming to the Bay Area, Anna started working as a food photographer and stylist, helping chefs and culinary brands tell their stories through her camera lens. After numerous photoshoots and exciting cooking endeavors, Anna was finally offered a chance to unveil her own food-making talents through hosting Eastern European pop-up dinners. Her Georgian khachapuri nights and Ukrainian varenyky feasts became a delicious sensation in the San Francisco culinary community. Now Anna’s goal is to make people fall in love with Eastern European food through every little Ukrainian dumpling, fluffy garlic pampushki, and every single bowl of luscious borscht you will cook from her new cookbook Budmo! Recipes From A Ukrainian Kitchen, which will be released in October 2022 (click here to pre-order).
ABOUT COMMUNITY DINNER
Once a month, we open our doors to friends new and old, welcoming all to our share a table and a delicious meal. Every month is something different, but tickets are always $18 and always tasty. Wine and beer are for sale at the event. Kids welcome!
