Join 18 Reasons and artist Carol Koffel for an evening meal designed to explore the unique connections formed through a shared meal and to celebrate the tastes, textures and colors of a late spring harvest. Greens, Grains & Fruit celebrates taste, aesthetics and labor through ritual composition of a meal from an array of local, seasonal ingredients. Guests will flavor individual courses from a pallet of prepared foods arranged around Carol's large, hand-thrown ceramic bowls, each filled with a main ingredient of greens, grains or fruits.

Carol Koffel is a ceramic artist and industrial designer. She makes metaphoric and utilitarian vessels in clay to explore beauty as a human nutrient. The vessels arrayed in delicate scaffolding or held in one’s hand, bridge theoretical notions of art, craft and design. Offered in precarious arrangements, intimate settings and community spaces, they create sensate and spatial fields to initiate kinesthetic retuning of mind and body alignment through activation of space and the viewer’s body.
