18 Reasons is partnering with fellow non-profit La Cocina to offer you a regular night market! On the last Saturday of each month, our 18th Street event space will feature four food entrepreneurs, selling their prepared foods in hopes of connecting with their community and growing their businesses (and having a kick ass Saturday night to boot!). All of the profits go directly to La Cocina vendors; 18 Reasons will sell wine and beer. This event is drop-in only.

Here's the line-up for January through April, which features warming comfort foods from around the world:

El Pípila
Guadalupe makes traditional food from Guanajuato, and she has recently gotten some very good attention for her very good food (Jonathan Kauffman's piece is here)!
Green Pozole $10
Sope with Chips & Guac $10
Chips & Guac $6

Bini's Kitchen
Plucked from the foothills of the Himalayas, Binita Pradhan welcomes you to her kitchen to experience home cooked Nepalese cuisine. Binis Kitchen combines home ground spices with local ingredients and delivers recipes passed down through generations. Chef Bini’s passion emerged in her mother’s kitchen in Kathmandu, and her vision care can be tasted in the nine different beans (!) she sprouts for her singular chili. You can read more here.
Nepalese Sprouted Chilli  $8
Momos (6 turkey or 6 veg) w/ spicy cilantro sauce  $8

Bone Appétit
This market is BoneAppétit's big debut! Their organic bone broth stews - served alongside fermented vegetables and nutritious greens - are sure to nourish your body, strengthen your system, and banish any winter woes.
Bone Broth Stew & Fermented Sides  $12

Crumble & Whisk
Newcomer Charles Farrier of Crumble & Whisk makes cheesecake exciting! And we think your belly deserves a little of his Roasted Beet + Berry.
